# Layout

The Stone Wall patience is laid out with 6 rows of 6 cards each. There are several things to note: The cards are laid out side by side, the 1st, 3rd and 5th rows are laid out face-down and the 2nd, 4th and 6th rows are laid out face-up. This creates a pattern with alternating face-up and face-down cards. The remaining 16 cards are placed face-up as hand cards or taken into hand.

# Objective

The objective is the same-suited, ascending build on the aces that appear in the course of the game.

# Gameplay

At the beginning, both the face-up cards and the hand cards should be checked for aces and possible followers. The aces are placed next to the rows as foundations. If a face-up card is taken from a row, the face-down card lying exactly above it may be turned over. So you can only get to the face-down cards if a space has become free below it.

To enable various moves, it is allowed to place face-up cards from the rows descending and in alternating color on other cards, for example a 9 of Clubs on a 10 of Hearts or a 4 of Diamonds on a 5 of Spades.

However, there are several important rules to note: Only on free spaces in the top row that have been freed during play may a connected sequence or any face-up card from the layout be placed. All other free spaces in rows 2 to 6 may not be filled with cards. It is also forbidden to place cards from the hand directly onto free spaces. Hand cards may only be placed on other cards or as followers on the foundations.
