Quadrille
# Layout
Nothing is laid out beforehand in this patience. The first cards that can be laid out from the stock The talon is the name given to the face-down stack of cards at the start of the game, from which, after being laid out, there are still cards left over that are used for the rest of the game. This packing of cards is also known as a block or draw pile.
# Objective
The 5s that appear during the game are followed by descending same-suit building and the 6s by ascending same-suit building. At the end, all Queens lie in the center and the Jacks and Kings on the outside.
# Gameplay
The shuffled stock is taken in hand and you reveal one card after another and place it on a pile. If there are Queens, 5s or 6s, they are laid out as foundation cards according to the pattern in the graphic. If further subsequent cards appear, they can be placed immediately on the respective foundation card. For example, 5 is followed by 4, then 3, 2, Ace and King. 6 is followed by 7, 8, 9, 10 and finally Jack. After the stock has been played through for the first time, at least the foundation cards should lie in the tableau. The remaining pile is then turned over again and gone through a second time, then the patience should have succeeded.
