The patience game Nasty Elevens rarely succeeds. That's certainly where the name comes from. But it is still fun.

# Layout

Twenty-two cards are laid out in eleven vertical columns. Two cards per column are dealt, the first face-down and the second card face-up overlapping on top.

# Objective

In this patience, you cannot play cards up. You must try to form alternating-color sequences from King descending to the 2. Only then may this sequence be removed from the tableau. You must therefore manage to form a total of eight alternating-color sequences from King to 2.

# Gameplay

The Aces do not play in this patience and are removed from the tableau as dead cards when they appear. Individual cards as well as alternating-color descending sequences may be moved. Same-suit moving is not permitted here! If an empty space is created during gameplay, it may only be filled with a King (and possibly a matching sequence). If no more moves are possible, each of the eleven columns, whether empty or occupied, receives one card from the stock. This makes the game somewhat more difficult. As soon as an alternating-color sequence from King descending to 2 has been formed in the tableau, it may be removed and placed aside. If you manage to form a total of eight such sequences at the end, the patience has succeeded. But this happens rather rarely.
