Eight by Eight
# Layout
In Eight by Eight, eight vertical columns with eight face-up cards each are laid out overlapping When cards lie partially on top of each other so that only part of the lower card is visible.
# Objective
The objective of this patience is to build up in the same suit in ascending order A sequence of cards where each card is one rank higher than the previous, starting with the Ace and ending with the King. For example: Ace, 2, 3, 4, …, Queen, King.
# Gameplay
In Eight by Eight, it is of great importance to obtain empty columns in order to place additional cards or sequences there. Therefore, you should examine the tableau very carefully and think about which column you might be able to clear. Cleared Aces are immediately placed above the tableau as foundation cards. Moving cards in this patience is only allowed in descending order with alternating colors, and sequences with alternating colors may also be moved.
If no more moves are possible, you may draw cards one by one from the stock The talon is the name given to the face-down stack of cards at the start of the game, from which, after being laid out, there are still cards left over that are used for the rest of the game. This packing of cards is also known as a block or draw pile.
